Care Where You Live
In-Home Physiotherapy
Getting to a clinic isn't always easy, especially after surgery, during recovery from a stroke, or when mobility is limited. At Port Credit Physio & Rehab, our registered physiotherapists bring care to you, with in-home physiotherapy in retirement residences and private homes across Mississauga. Every visit is a 45-minute, one-on-one session focused entirely on you: your goals, your environment, and helping you stay safe, strong, and independent.
No travel — no transportation, parking, or waiting rooms
Real-world rehab — we train you in the spaces you actually use every day, like your hallways, bathroom, bed, and stairs
Full one-on-one attention — 45 minutes dedicated entirely to you
Who We Help

Joint Replacement & Fracture Recovery

What to Expect During Your In-Home Visit
Your First Visit
Your physiotherapist reviews your health history, medications, and goals, then assesses your strength, balance, walking, and mobility in your own living space. Together, you'll create a personalized treatment plan.
Ongoing Visits
Each 45-minute session includes hands-on treatment, guided exercise, and practice with everyday activities, such as getting in and out of bed, standing from a chair, walking safely, and managing stairs.
Between Visits
You'll receive a simple, safe home exercise program, which we can share with family or residence staff to help you stay on track, with your consent.

In-Home Physiotherapy FAQs
How long is each in-home physiotherapy session?
Every visit is a 45-minute, one-on-one session with a registered physiotherapist.
Do you provide physiotherapy in retirement residences?
Yes. We visit retirement residences across Mississauga, including Port Credit, Mineola, Lorne Park, and Clarkson. Contact us to confirm your location.
Is in-home physiotherapy covered by insurance?
Many extended health benefit plans cover physiotherapy, including in-home visits. Check your plan for details — we offer direct billing.
Is this the same as publicly funded home care?
No. Our in-home physiotherapy is a private service, which means no waitlists and a consistent physiotherapist. If you're looking for publicly funded home care, you can contact Ontario Health atHome to check your eligibility.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You can book directly. Some insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement.
Can family members be present during sessions?
Yes, and we encourage it. Family members can learn how to support exercises and safe movement between visits.
What equipment do I need?
None. Your physiotherapist brings what's needed and will recommend any helpful equipment or mobility aids.
