The Science of Movement
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy isn't just recovery. It's the path to maximizing your physical strength and functional freedom. At Port Credit Physio & Rehab, we treat the whole person, not just the symptom. Whether you're managing chronic back pain, recovering from a sports injury, or rebuilding after surgery, our registered physiotherapists combine hands-on care with evidence-based techniques to help you move from pain to performance. We're located on Lakeshore Road East in the heart of Port Credit, and we're open 7 days a week, including weekday evenings until 8 PM. We see physiotherapy as an active partnership. You'll understand what's happening in your body and leave each session knowing exactly what to do between visits.
Our Approach: Evidence-Based, Active, Personal
Every treatment plan starts with a thorough assessment of how you move, what's causing your pain, and what you want to get back to. From there, your physiotherapist may use:
McKenzie Method® (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy) — a research-supported approach for back pain, neck pain, and sciatica that identifies movements which reduce your symptoms, then teaches you to use them yourself
Graston Technique® — an instrument-assisted soft-tissue technique that helps break down scar tissue and restrictions, especially useful for tendonitis and older injuries that haven't fully healed
Personalized exercise prescription — targeted strengthening and mobility programs designed around your body, your goals, and your daily life

Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy in Ontario?
No. You can book directly with Port Credit Physio & Rehab. Some insurance plans require a referral for reimbursement, so check your coverage.
What is the McKenzie Method® used for?
